I have only one complaint, but feel it is important enough to bring it to the corporation's attention. Installation began on November 27, 2017. The Austin office told us the installers would be there at 9:00 AM. They arrived at 10:55 AM and worked until 6:30 PM. Five windows were not completed. Another team of installers returned the next day at 11:55 PM. They worked until 3:45 PM and completed the job. My concern is that the office and the installation teams are not communicating. Since this is a second home, I drove 85 miles each day to meet the installers. Because it took 2 days, instead of 1 day, I missed 2 days of work. I believe that better communication with the customer and the installers is below expectations. Both teams of installers did a fabulous job, but they too agreed communication was a problem. I hope this can be resolved as soon as possible. If it continues, I'm afraid the business will suffer.
Very disappointing. The initial installation was a disaster. The team they sent was horrible and broke a window, was very unprofessional, cursing around the house and extremely difficult to work with. Additionally, the appointment scheduling team gave incorrect information multiple times and had to reschedule The rep that helped get the replacement window ordered was good however, he rushed the job and helped get it fixed and sent a different crew. He was very nice and helpful, his name was Michael Your product is great. The windows are amazing. Still feel like they are a bit overpriced, but at least they are very good and worth all the hassle Changes need to be made to who they hire as installers and the level professionalism needs improvement
All went as discussed and on schedule - very professional - Installer were very polite and knowledgeable - Sales team and measurement team very knowledgeable -
Heat penetration is so severe that outside shades had to be installed to reflect sun/heat from damaging furniture and floors. Sales rep demonstrated window with a hair dryer and there was minimal heat penetration. He was also told and could see that our objective with new windows was to minimize sun & heat beaming through this western exposure so natural light could come in. The primary reason we chose Andersen was sales rep assurance we would not have the heat/sun issue as we did with our existing windows. On day of installation heat gun registered 120*inside house on the window. Installer said we would need to have air conditioner on for a true reading...only minimal improvement.
The 3 man crew was excellent.Courteous, friendly, on time, responsible, clean , knowledgeable. Cleaned as they went and afterwards.
Anderson did an excellent job installing my windows.Everyone I dealt with was every professional. They even quickly came back twice at my request to remove a small amount of caulk and to hang a drape.
We have had the windows for only 10 days and they seem to be satisfactory. Since they are fixed windows with no moving parts, there is nothing to comment on regarding their operation. I believe Andersen's big weakness is the supplementary work such as interior trim and painting. I am having to touch up the poor painting job myself. I knew beforehand that Andersen had a reputation for not doing good work after the windows were installed. For that reason, we are using our own contractor to patch and paint the exterior stucco that had to be cut away to get the old windows out.
The team leader explain the phases of the installation clearly, the entire team exceedingly professional during the installation; great team
I was impressed with the friendliness and professionalism of the entire team. The transformation from the three existing windows to the new single large window was amazing. The finished project is impressive. Very pleased.
We were very pleased with the crew that installed our windows. They were very courteous and professional. The very first day the lead crew made me aware that one of my windows was damaged upon delivery but they assured they had already made sure another was to arrive and placed by the end of the week. That is what happened.
